I took this photo in Holetown, Barbados, it was a beautifully warm day with a light breeze blowing. I read the book during the waning days of Winter 2016. And the words lifted up off the page and struck me – with my thanks, to a great New Brunswick author.
Three reflective questions:
(1) When is the last time you went the direction you felt you must take — and how did it turn out for you?
(2) What cues do you use – or can you begin to try and use – to pause, and ask yourself if the direction you think you “must take” is the direction you should go?
(3) What default habits have you developed where you “convince yourself” of things – and how do you challenge those habits?
