Paul Black: Principal Dot Connector
Paul has enjoyed many opportunities to work with and learn from politicians, leaders in government, NGOs and the private sector over the past 16 years. Each of these experiences has taught him lessons he brings to his work with Fisherwick.
He has had the good fortune to work with Cabinet Ministers and Premiers in two provinces, learning and leading the difficult balance of running governments. In Manitoba, he worked directly with the Ministers of Justice, Agriculture, Intergovernmental Affairs and Finance. In Nova Scotia, he served as the Premier’s Director of Policy & Principal Secretary covering the gamut of everything government does. He spent considerable time leading policy change and working with stakeholders and across government on Energy, Environment, Natural Resource and Economic Development matters during his time serving the NS Premier.
In addition, Paul has spent time as a consultant in a larger agency, and as an entrepreneurship educator.
He is married to an accomplished creative woman, and they are the fortunate parents of three boisterous and irreverent boys. He has lived in Northern Ireland, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia; and currently lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
